This is the implementation of a self-supported Ecotouristic Park, with preservation, educational-cultural and research objectives, inserted into areas belonging to EMAE, in the Serra do Mar State Park.

The scope of this ventru is to take a hundred per cent advantage of the Serra do Mar region,located in the municipalities of São Bernardo do Campo and Cubatão, ecotouristic potential. Providing a compatible use to historical landmarks along the Caminho do Mar Road, the Henry Borden Power Plant and the cultural assets belonging to this region.

The objective is the development of a project that will unite the Company's centenary history, the preservation of the cultural memory and the environmental heritage - Mata Atlântica - that exist in the Serra do Mar, and energy generation with responsibility placed on the preservation of natural resources, according to the precepts of the self-supported development.

The intention is to expand and diversify work's performed on environmental education that are being developed by the Company during the last seven years, transforming individual activities into a set of articulated actions. The objective is to provide to visitors the option of several educational, cultural, contemplative and adventure programs, creating an unique leisure option near large urban centers.

In order to makje the project feasible, and because of its characteristics and amounts to be invested, it became necessary to enter into partnerships and agreements with the Energy Historical Heritage Foundation of São Paulo (Fundação Patrimônio Histórico da Energia de São Paulo) and with the Vitae Civilis - an Institute created for Development, Environment and Peace, being that its implementation and operation will be carried out by means of modules.
